If you are new to Moodle, you might be wondering what is Moodle. Moodle is a Course Management System (CMS), also known as a Learning Management System (LMS) or a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). It is a Free web application that educators can use to create effective online learning sites. (Description taken from moodle.org)
The term Moodle is actually an abbreviation which goes as follows:
- M - Modular
- O - Object
- O - Oriented
- D - Dynamic
- L - Learning
- E - Environment
You dont need to remember what the abbreviation means but I just put it out there for FYI purposes.
Now that a bit of introduction has been done, we can start looking at some of the area of Moodle you should be familiar with if you are to get comfortable with this systems. This article with written in a step by step fashion to ensure you are able to follow. If you need help with any area or there is something you would like me to cover, feel free to contact me.
